Key Features
Product Ref: 93689
The Martin 00-18 features a stunning solid sitka spruce top that offers a broad dynamic range, versatility, and crisp articulation, and accommodates numerous playing techniques. The wood itself is quite elastic in nature, which resonates well whilst remaining strong, and provides a focused, clear sound of deep lows, warm midi-range, and bright singing highs. The sitka spruce top is contrasted beautifully by its mahogany body, which provides durability and delivers incredibly rich distinct warmth. Mahogany is used a lot in the acoustic world, because it is relatively economical, durable, attractive, easy to work with, and resonant. Used as back and sides panels, mahogany provides a meaty mid-range, producing punchy, woody tones with plenty of depth and complexity that will please most playing styles.
The select hardwood neck features a modified low oval shape and a high performance taper for enhanced playability. The neck is topped with an ebony fingerboard that provides a bright attack, great sustain, and excellent durability. The ebony fingerboard and bridge also apply clarity and well defined punch, providing you with iconic Martin tone blended with a satin finish for a smooth playability. Abalone dot inlays grace the fingerboard for added elegance and a sprinkle of Martin creativity.

This machine has been a major break through over the last decade, as its eye for detail identifies exactly what needs to be done for perfect fretwork. The Plek Pro delivers you with perfect results, raises the quality of the instrument, and gives you a beautifully toned, easy to play acoustic guitar.
The Martin 00-18 features a grand concert body shape, which provides a comfortable playing experience due to it smooth, sleek, curvaceous body and nipped in waste; designed to sit comfortably on the knee. Its bigger bout and scalloped X-brace pattern enable the 00-18 to project great volume due to more room for sound to reverberate. Its size keeps overtones in check, contributing to a focus, articulate sound that is well-suited for recording and stage work.
