The Lexicon PCM Effects Plug-in Bundle not only provides 7 unique effect plug-ins but also utilizes an extremely user friendly interface with a range of real-time visualizers for accurate visual representation of changes and process taking place on the audio.
The Lexicon MultiVoice Pitch algorithm is a pitch shifter, but with a twist. This algorithm is a multi-voice delay containing an independently controlled pitch shifter on each voice. It also provides feedback control which can be used for creating arpeggios. Pitch can be adjusted in semitones and/or cents. The MutiVoice Pitch algorithm has 6 total delay voices (3 delay voices per input channel). Each voice has independently adjustable delay time of up to 4.75 seconds. The MultiVoice Pitch plug-in excels at thickening up vocals, creating lush shifting effects, or creating far-out special effects.
The chorus effect emulates the sound of multiple instruments of the same type, or multiple singers, performing in unison. Chorus is used to thicken a sound and create movement. The Lexicon® Chorus algorithm brings this rich, lush, shimmering effect to life. By using shorter delay times and introducing feedback, the Chorus algorithm can also generate flanging effects. The Chorus plug-in can be very effectively used on vocals, guitar, and any other instruments which have inherently long sustain.
The Resonant Chords algorithm allows multiple delay voices to be tuned to resonate on specific notes. It uses impulsive energy at the inputs to excite six resonant voices. The voices resonate to some degree with any input, but the most effective excitation contains all frequencies, such as percussion. Other instruments may give a quality of tonal ambience in which certain notes rise ethereally from the background. Use the Resonant Chords plug-in to create glistening chords, strange ringing delays, or truly bizarre room sounds.
The Lexicon Random Delay algorithm has the same diffusion controls as the Dual Delay algorithm, but it builds upon them by adding additional LFO control and a second delay parameter (called 'Wander'). The Wander parameter provides up to one second of additional delay time for each voice. Voices can be assigned to either randomize or not randomize. The Random Delay plug-in is especially useful for: Multi-Tap Tape Loops, Early Reflection Modeling (placing early reflections in stereo or surround fields), and Modulated Delays (delay times may be modulated by signal level, LFO, or random values).
The Lexicon Dual Delay algorithm is a state-of-the-art digital delay generator. It has 4 total delay voices (2 delay voices per input channel). Each voice has an independently adjustable delay time of up to 9.5 seconds and independent output and feedback control. With additional EQ, filter, polarity, pan, and level control over each of the delay voice's output and feedback paths, this plug-in provides incredible control over the effect. The Dual Delay plug-in is the go to plug-in for creating modern and vintage delay effects such as slapback, echo, tape echo, digital delay, ping pong, or double tracking.
When there is sound energy at the frequency of a string that string will vibrate by sympathetic resonance. By holding down different combinations of keys, a ghostly harmony can be created. The Lexicon® Stringbox algorithm is a resonator which simulates this effect. It has 88 virtual strings and allows the user to select which strings are held down. Parameters provide control over tuning, panning, pre-delay, tone, chorus, level, decay, and damping. The Stringbox plug-in creates eerie and ethereal effects. It's unlike anything else in your plug-in arsenal.
