Key Features
The Z.Vex Vertical Box of Rock Overdrive is Z.Vex's very first 'distortion' pedal, and its performance simulates the classic British 'Everything on 10' sound that is loved by Zachary Vex himself. Equipped with two separate channels that include Boost and a 'Distortion Engine' channel; these can be easily engaged via the stomp switches for an intuitive performance that makes this pedal perfect for both developing and established players.
To sculpt and shape your distortion pedal, there are four simple controls consisting of Boost, Volume, Tone and Drive which offer easy operation. There is also an exceptionally high-headroom gain booster that delivers a loud and powerful, yet low noise effect without the hiss. The powerful and high gain sound provided by the Vertical Box of Rock can be used to help you slice through the mix, boosting your moments of lead or solo magic.

The Z.Vex Vertical Box of Rock features two separate channels which consist of Boost and Rock, and they can be engaged via the stomp switches for an immediate response full of brightness and clarity. The Boost channel can be used as an isolated channel, or it can be used alongside the ‘Distortion Engine’ channel. What’s more, the Boost channel allows the distortion to hit the amp with increased power when both of the switches are engaged; this works exceptionally well for boosting solos and for achieving high gain for when you want you guitar to truly shine on stage.
The Z.Vex Vertical Box of Rock comes equipped with four simply laid out controls, which allow you to sculpt your sound with ease. The Boost control lets you adjust the level of boost when the left channel stomp switch is engaged - this results in a crackling, high gain distorted sound. There is also a Volume control which adjusts the ‘Distortion Engine’ output level; Tone control alters the amount of treble content that colours your tone – enabling everything from a more bright and thin sound to a well-rounded, low-end tone. Finally, the Drive knob controls the amount of distortion for a complete sonic palette that can be manipulated to fit your taste.
