Key Features
Product Ref: 121798
This gives you access to all the Antelope Audio FPGA FX. They're authentic digital re-creations of iconic classic hardware processors. The pack allows you to employ the full studio power of the Antelope Audio FPGA FX, allowing you to utilise four channel strips with four FX instances each, and up to 16 channel strips using the new AFX2DAW plug-in. The included effects and processors can be used in your preferred DAW using the AFX2DAW plug-in. FPGA FX models iconic gear from BAE, Lang, Gyraf Audio, and more, giving you a vast amount of processing software. The premium FX library includes over 50 Antelope Audio real-time FPGA FX including compressors, reverbs, EQs, and much more.
The Discrete 4 features four console-grade preamps that feature a fully discrete design. It features the Accusonic 3D modeling engine that allows you to replicate the sound of many classic microphones. You can choose whether to record with or without it, adjust proximity effect, off-axis response, and polar patterns, all before and after recording. Choose between difference mic and preamp models whilst mixing, to get the sound you want.
Antelope Audio Discrete 4 allows you to monitor up to four individual monitor mixes. The Discrete 4 features a comprehensive monitoring section with built-in talkback. Discrete 4 allows you to send four individual monitor mixes to headphones or monitor output, with or without FPGA FX. This allows you to tailor monitor mixes to each performer. Use the handy levels on the front panel of the Discrete 4 to always keep track of your levels.
The Verge now comes complete with a range of high-grade microphone emulations. It features six mic emulations in total, comprised of some of the most sought-after microphones from music history. The emulations are designed to make your recordings sound like they were recorded on various classic microphones.
Each emulation is available as a plugin in VST, AU and AAX formats for both Mac and Windows. The industry-leading FPGA FX provides ultra-low latency and high-end oversampling for optimised audio fidelity and performance.
Ideal for both studio and live sound, the Verge mic is versatile, and can handle high SPL levels from instrument recordings and performances. With a wide frequency range of 40Hz - 20kHz, the Verge modeling mic can capture an array of instruments, and the fine nuances they provide. The Verge mic is an excellent tool for accurately capturing signals rich in transients such as drums, or other instruments that provide a percussive sound.
The Verge is designed to be used with Antelope Audio's FPGA Accusonic 3D modeling software. Accusonic allows you to adjust the mic settings with full control over proximity effect, off-axis response, and polar pattern. The Verge microphone can accurately emulate this, allowing you to get a different range of tones from one microphone. What sets the Verge apart from other microphones is that it runs real-time on Antelope's FPGA. This means you can audition different microphones, and switch between them in real-time. You never need to worry about getting the perfect take, and then suddenly realising you should have changed microphones, as the software allows you to switch microphone emulation after recording.
Plug the Verge into your Discrete audio interface's preamps, and you can transform it into any one of several vintage tube, transformer, and FET-based microphones. Antelope's FPGA is the perfect modeling platform for monitoring, and recording performances in real-time. You can choose to record with or without modeling, as the microphone itself sounds great on its own too. However, you will also have the choice to switch between an array of classic microphone emulations during mixdown, allowing you to get the sound you want.
