Adam Nitti is a well-respected and renown bass player, working in hundreds of projects across countless genres and sharing his vast knowledge to aspiring bassists. This collaboration between Ibanez and Adam Nitti is designed to be a both inspirational and an extension of Adam’s voice, built with an ergonomic shape and offering well-balanced tones for a truly versatile performance.
Adam Nitti’s Signature ANB303 bass features a lightweight ash body, offering excellent comfort while minimising the strain on your shoulders during long performances. The ash tonewood provides a sweet, airy twang, with plenty of resonance for singing chords and powerful punching notes. Its firm lows, pleasing highs, and slightly scooped midrange suits a range of playing styles, but favours the harsh strikes of metal players. The ash body is topped with stunning quilted maple, creating a visually captivating look while enhancing the ash wood’s natural brightness.
Coupled with its stunning body is a 5-piece maple and purpleheart neck, with its iron-like strength and smooth playing feel delivering the ultimate performance. With its custom neck profile and premium fret edge treatment, the ANB306 Ibanez Bass provides players with a comfortable performance, ideal for technical runs and smooth slides. Its neck-through-body construction optimises the maximum contact between the neck and body joint, enhancing the natural resonance for an advanced sustain. The neck is topped with a purpleheart fingerboard, adding a stunning projection with the perfect bass response and lively trebles.
This Signature Ibanez Premium Bass is equipped with a set of Bartolini’s powerful xxM56C pickups, featuring a split coil construction and delivering a wealth of deep tones. These M5 shaped soapbars are design for the extended frequency range of 6-string basses with a low-curvature fingerboard, offering the perfect level of balance across all the strings for an incredibly responsive performance. Also featuring a passive design and cast in epoxy, the Bartolini xxM56C’s ensure players receive a tone free of unwanted feedback and microphonics.
Coupled with the ANB306’s powerful pickups are Bartolini’s NTB+F electronics, which have been tweaked for Adam Nitti’s Premium Bass. This tone control preamp comes with independent bass, mid, and treble controls, each offering an incredibly low noise operation with exceptionally wide boost/cut ranges for the ultimate tone shaping. This preamp can be powered via two 9V batteries of a single 18V battery, delivering an extra 6db of headroom, an extremely clear and transparent sound, and low levels of distortion.
In addition to the NTMB+F electronics, this signature Ibanez Bass also features a mid-frequency select switch, letting you instantly switch between 250Hz, 500Hz, and 800Hz to create a more dynamic and ideal tone when needed.
