Crafted from arched laminated maple, the Gretsch G6118T-LTV provides you with a resonant tone and a lightweight construction that can be played all night long. By incorporating classic "F" sound holes into the sound board you can achieve a natural acoustic projection when used unamplified. Sound holes enable the sound to vibrate freely around the guitar body and escape through these elegantly designed holes.
TV Jones Power'Tron Humbuckers
The G6118T-LTV 130th Anniversary Jr features a pair of TV Jones Power'Tron humbuckers that deliver a round top end, natural mid-range presence, and a dynamic clean tone, with a compressed treble. The Power’Tron humbucker pickup was born out of a need to create a pickup with a stronger midrange presence and higher output than the previous Classic pickup from TV Jones. The Power'Tron is wound with more standard magnet wire similar to a PAF-style humbucker. In the bridge position, single treble notes are reproduced with a fuller tone, while bass notes twang out deep and clear, producing a tighter bass with enhanced more clarity. Whilst the neck position delivers a slightly darker and hotter tone when compared to similar pickups like the PAF.
Real Bone Nut For Enhanced Sustain
The Gretsch G6118T-LTV 130th Anniversary Jr features a real bone nut, which maintains its authentic appearance. The main purpose of using a real bone nut compared to modern materials is bone offers excellent resonance and sustain. A bone nut also delivers a very balanced tone, and will last a long time. In addition, this type of nut naturally self lubricates and helps you stay in tune for longer.
