The stunning Sapele body looks extremely similar to Mahogany but however features a distinctive striped grain which adds character to the GD-50 Mini’s natural open pore finish. Sapele is a dense tone wood which produces a crisp, clear and bright tone whilst retaining low end warmth to produce a well-rounded and balanced tone. Additionally the solid Spruce top offers a bright and responsive character with plenty of chime and pick attack perfect for adding clarity and definition.
Compact Size and Arched Back
Featuring a shorter 21 inch scale length and scaled down body size the GD-50 Mini is perfect for younger players or as a travel guitar. Due to the scaled down nature of the body the Sapele back features a unique arched design which grants greater room within the body for sound to resonant. This ensures that the small scale does not compromise the warm and full sound of larger guitars and also makes for adds to the positioning comfort when playing.
Rosewood Fretboard
With a 18 fret Rosewood fingerboard optimized for a smooth and quick playability the Greg Bennett GD-50 Mini Acoustic also employs a 12 inch fretboard radius which provides easy access and fluid playability whether playing chords or tricky scaled patterns.
