Tonal shaping is key with a bass pre-amp and Laney have ensured that all avenues are available to be explored. The three-band EQ offers complete sound sculpting, allowing you to really dial up those lows for a thicker, rich bassline or increase the treble to give you that punchy snap to your driven bass tones. A Tilt EQ function with SEE SAW EQ provides the perfect device to add the finishing touches. Ideal for any genre, two select pre-amp options allow you to either deliver crushing Tube amp goodness or stable cleans with the FET channel. All of this results in an easily adjustable, versatile bass pre-amp perfect for every genre.

Gig-ready set-up

The Laney Digbeth DB-PRE is designed for the travelling musicians, packing in a lot of power within a compact, portable package. Weighing in at 0.75kg and taking up very little room within the rig, this pre-amp fits in perfectly with any bassist’s setup. A designated FX loop allows you to efficiently attach your other pedals in your sequence, which means you can accurately position your effects creating unique and nuanced tones. A full metal chassis ensures that the pedal is gig-ready and durable so you can use it without worrying about damaging the unit.

Complete connectivity

This pre-amp pedal offers an abundance of connectivity options for a multitude of setups and devices. Practise in peace with a designated aux in, letting you play the track you’re learning through your amplifier. Alternatively, the DB-PRE also comes with a headphone out jack, allowing you to practise without disturbing other people, freeing you up to really crank up the volume. A designated DI output makes recording a whole lot easier as you can directly connect your bass to the desk, allowing you to send the signal before or after it has passed through the EQ. This is topped off with a ground lift switch, removing all the rumble and hum from the signal to ensure a vastly clearer tone.
