Described as one of the best pickups of all time the JB Trembucker is full of life and beautiful tones. Originally designed in the 70s the Trembucker certainly comes from the Humbucker family and adds juice and attitude to the bridge position. The Trembucker projects unmistakable tones, an articulate tight yet bright and beautifully, harmonically, rich high end that really does sing. Essentially orientated to lead guitar playing techniques, however it also plays beautifully for rhythm work. Lead tones are aggressive and really cut through the mix, maintaining its roundness, yet overall the Trembucker stays on the brighter side of life. Often used on guitars made from alder, ebony fret-boards, and maple necks, however the tone becomes quite icy, yet still beautiful. When used on a warmer wood like koa or rosewood the Trembucker has a very handsome, even rounder tone, but still extremely present. The JB Trembucker is the perfect bridge pickup for any genre, from country and blues to the meanest, most aggressive hard rock and metal genres. Trembuckers have wider pole piece spacing, perfect for symmetrical positioning under the strings of guitars with a tremolo or wide spaced hard tail bridge (2 or wider from the center of the low E to the high E directly over the bridge pickup). Match up with the Jazz neck model for the ultimate, most incomparable Hot Rod Humbucker set. Hand crafted and authentically custom built in Seymour Duncan's factory (Santa Barbara), the JB Trembucker has an alnico 5 bar magnet fitted, a nickel silver bottom plate, comes with a 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options, and is vacuum potted for a non-screech performance.
