The SQ5+ introduces four dedicated RackUltra FX engines, bringing processing previously reserved for Allen & Heath’s flagship touring systems into a compact mixer format. Alongside premium reverbs and delays, you also get vocal tuning, harmonisers, saturation, distortion, and advanced pitch processing directly inside the desk. This gives engineers far more creative control without needing external plugins or additional rack units. The mixer still includes eight RackExtra FX engines too, allowing you to run multiple reverbs, modulation effects, and delays simultaneously. Dedicated stereo sends and returns keep routing flexible, helping you build polished mixes for live sound, theatre, worship, broadcast, and streamed productions.

The updated workflow centres around a larger 9-inch capacitive touchscreen with a redesigned dark GUI that stays easy to read in darker venues and control booths.
