Studiomaster. A name synonymous with high-quality audio equipment. With over four decades of experience building world-renowned mixers and amplification solutions, they've developed an envious reputation within the audio world. Providing powerful solutions for some of the biggest names in the industry, they have dedicated years to creating ground-breaking designs that offer outstanding performance and flexibility. And the DigiLive 8C continues that tradition.
There's a plethora of possibilities waiting to be discovered with the DigiLive 8C. With eight analogue inputs (six mic/line XLR-1/4'' combo jacks and a pair of stereo jacks, as well as a 3.5mm stereo minijack), you can connect a wide variety of devices with ease. High-quality analogue preamps provide you with up to 60dB of gain for the mic inputs, as well as switchable phantom power for condenser microphones. The stereo inputs are ideal for keyboards, external preamps, effects units, and more, whilst the 3.5mm input allows you to hook up computers, mobile devices, and mp3 players in seconds. The minijack input is automatically disabled when plugging into the 1/4'' stereo inputs.
The DigiLive 8C also boasts a USB 2.0 input. This can be used to plug in a USB storage device such as a flash drive or HDD with .mp3 or .wav files loaded onto it. You can then use the handy Play/Pause button to start playing your tracks sequentially directly from the mixer. You can even record the main output of your mixer onto the USB device in stereo .wav format. The USB input can also be used for the included WiFi USB dongle for network connectivity and control.
When it comes to outputs, you've got plenty to choose from. Two Aux outputs let you send your signal to a speaker system for quick and easy monitoring purposes, or for an additional front-of-house feed. You can alter the routing of the Aux outputs, allowing you to adapt your mix to suit a variety of situations. There's also a handy headphone output with a dedicated volume control, allowing you to monitor the Main Mix output with precision. You can even listen to individual inputs or outputs by selecting your desired channel using the encoder on the left-hand side of the mixer. And finally, the Main Mix outputs. Two balanced XLR connectors allow you to send your signal to a variety of devices and locations, and also feature flexible configuration options to meet your mixing needs.
There's a lot more to this compact console than meets the eye. You can take advantage of complete control from the mixer's front panel. Three rotary encoders with press-to-click functionality provide an intuitive way to craft your mix at any time. But you can also utilise a network connection (WiFi or LAN) for powerful remote control capabilities. A simple-to-use interface gives you three modes of operation, so you can get the most out of your DigiLive 8C. Choose from Full, Basic, or Lock (Lock mode allows fader and media operation only).
Basic mode streamlines the interface, giving you access to a simplified view for getting into your mix quickly and efficiently. You still have access to the channel section, as well as FX, Meters, Music/Media, EQ/Comp, Bus Send, Scenes, and more. Full mode lets you go even deeper. Every controllable aspect of your mixer becomes available, including separate Preamp, EQ, and Dynamics tabs amongst much more. You can take advantage of a whole host of professional features for maximum mixing flexibility, giving you everything you need to take your mix to the next level.
With a SHARC processor and 40-bit float point DSP, the DigiLive 4C gives you a powerful platform for perfecting your mix. Take advantage of a powerful and highly-adjustable 4-band parametric EQ with a handy switchable HPF (Basic mode alters the EQ to 4-band fixed), as well as high-quality compression and gate dynamics processing. In Basic mode, dynamics and be adjusted using an easy-to-use single control interface for rapid sound optimisation. Both the EQ and dynamics processing tools allow you to save presets so you can instantly recall them for later use. There's also a 31-band graphic EQ for the L/R Main Mix outputs, providing you with an in-depth solution for sculpting your overall sound.
It doesn't stop there either. Take advantage of a powerful FX section with up to four FX modules. High-quality reverb and delay algorithms allow you add spatial atmosphere to your sound. You can send any input channel to one or both of the modules, giving you a powerful platform for adding excitement and emotion to your mix.
