Authentic retro tone with modern flexibility
The P-10 meticulously recreates the circuitry of a classic polysynth, including Curtis 3340 oscillators and 3320 filters. Its oscillator sync and original modulation architecture have been modelled in detail, preserving the warmth and grit of the 1980s flagship. Whether you're chasing classic film scores or iconic pop tones, this virtual instrument gives you that sound without the hardware maintenance. But it doesn’t stop there, Cherry Audio has expanded the sonic palette with new features like increased polyphony and a modernised workflow, making it equally useful for contemporary production environments.
Layered voices and powerful modulation
With 16 voices per layer, dual-layer setups, and flexible keyboard splitting, the P-10 lets you build massive, expressive patches. Each layer also includes independent LFOs, arpeggiators, and effects, offering more sound design depth than the original hardware ever could. Add in the Mono Mod, Poly Mod, Aux Mod and new Pressure Mod section, and you get a modulation system that’s both authentic and expanded. This opens the door for dynamic, evolving patches that respond expressively to your playing style.
Hands-on sequencing and performance tools
The integrated four-track step sequencer provides a fast, intuitive way to build rhythm and melodic patterns without leaving the instrument. It's ideal for looping ideas, building up arrangements, or simply jamming in real-time. With an arpeggiator available on each layer, plus assignable LFO modulation to effects, the P-10 becomes a highly playable tool for live and studio use alike.
Built-in presets and total MIDI control
The P-10 includes over 500 presets, with a full bank of the original P5 and P10 patches onboard. This gives instant access to a wide range of classic tones, perfect for getting started or sparking ideas quickly. Full MIDI mapping support makes it easy to tailor the P-10 to your setup, whether you're working with a DAW, controller keyboard, or a larger live rig. That flexibility, combined with the faithfully recreated sound engine, makes the P-10 a solid choice for any serious synth user.
Reviews
”I used a Prophet 10 in 1980 on Stevie Wonder’s “Hotter Than July" album. I liked it then, and I like Cherry Audio’s P-10 emulation of it. They have made some amazing updates to it, making it a versatile synth. Most importantly, it sounds like the real deal. Killer synth!” - Bill Wolfer – Grammy nominated record producer, songwriter and synthesizer programmer (Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Paul McCartney, Diana Ross, The Jacksons)
”Cherry Audio again hits way above their weight class, delivering a stellar recreation of a legendary analog powerhouse. The P-10 sounds so close to the original hardware, it’s almost unbelievable. Comparing the factory patches of my hardware Prophet to the P-10, the differences were either non-existent or no bigger than the differences between any two vintage units. Amazing work!” - Jim Alfredson – Artist, synthesist, keyboardist, performer, composer (Bob James, David Sanborn, Randy Brecker)
”I’ve owned a Prophet synth since nearly the day they were released, even a Prophet-10. They were awesome and they got HOT, went out of tune and became unusable. Cheryr Audio has created an instrument that has the HUGE sound of the Prophet-10 with all the reliability and usability of all their instruments. They have even made some smart tweaks to the synth but the soul and spirit remain. Great job guys!” - Michael Whalen – 2x Emmy award-winning composer and recording artist (Credited with over 1 Billion streams)
