Classic filtering meets modern innovation. Basing its design on classic analog synths, provides classic, tried-and-tested filtering. At its core the module functions as a smooth and fat sounding dual filter. This allows you to create a wide a palette of sounds, providing versatile sound design options. Each of the filters is identical in design, ensuring optimised audio performance across the board. The resonance can be pushed more aggressively, resulting in a more vigorous sound.
The Gemini 2412 features a variable mode. This specialised mode allows you blend between the various filter types, providing flexible sound design options. This gives you a wide variety of tonal changes for your source audio. Blending between the high-pass, low-pass and band-pass modes makes for truly unique tones, providing inspiration for new sounds.
The high-quality potentiometer allows you to dial in your levels with maximum precision for highly accurate changes. The circuits at the core of the module provide a -12dB of edge steepness per octave. The same precise potentiometers are used to control the cutoff and resonance. The master section has a unique ability to combine the dual filter circuits. This can be used for further sound design experimentation. The resulting audio is then processed through a separate audio output.
The filters can be wired in either parallel or serial configurations, allowing you to change between the two modes for changing the way your inputs are processed. Parallel mode allows you to crossfader between the dual filters, by either the potentiometer or a CV input. In serial mode, you can use this config to create vocal sounds and other unique tones by using the filters in band-pass mode. The multiple routing options makes the module ideal for use with external gear. This allows your module to change the style and tone of an input source. This means you can use the module with synths, other modular gear, keyboards and other musical equipment. Manual control of cutoff and resonance can be modulated via the CV inputs. A 1v/octave connector is also including for key tracking (determining what extent the cutoff frequency will track the keyboard). It also includes separate outputs for each of the filtering modes.
